Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis equipment and water treatment systems within our kidney care clinics. You will train colleagues on operational maintenance and manage medical supplies to ensure patient safety and equipment reliability.

The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with facility staff to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be collaborative, independent, analytical, and mechanically inclined.
• Less than 1 year related experience.
• Experience in customer service, mechanical, automotive, or medical technical setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the physical plant, as directed.
• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and retains an inventory of service parts.
• Performs, evaluates, and reports water/dialysate sample collection and any actions required.
