We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Dialysis Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in patient care and a passion for helping individuals with kidney disease. As a Clinical Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing dialysis treatments and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Department Description

Northland Park Dialysis is a 32-station unit operating three shifts, six days a week, handling complex patients from ages 20-90 years old. Many require assistance with mobility devices. Operating hours are 5:00 am – 8:00 pm, with team members scheduled from 4:45 am to 8:30 pm. Staff include a Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, Registered Nurses, Dialysis Clinical Technicians, Biomed Techs, and Dialysis Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Perform dialysis treatments according to prescribed protocols and physician orders.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing vital signs and responding to changes.
• Set up and operate dialysis machines, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about dialysis procedures and self-care.
• Maintain accurate medical records of treatments and patient progress.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dialysis technician training program preferred.
• Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) required within 18 months of employment.
