Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a Charge Nurse for dialysis services in Beaverton, Oregon. You will oversee daily patient care, guide staff, and ensure safety and quality outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The role requires RN licensure, 12 months nursing experience with 6 months in dialysis, and supervisory responsibilities. Travel between facilities may be required, with a focus on compliance and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.).
• Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day guidance, support and direction to direct patient care staff and participate in annual performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with all procedures and policies and regulations set forth by state and federal agencies.
• Approve time or personnel schedule changes and document hours for staff.
• Participate in patient care plan meetings and supervise documentation of patient information.
• Train and orient staff; observe and guide direct patient care staff for adherence to policies.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and promote OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate Charge Nurse duties with Staff RNs and assess daily patient care needs.
• Administer medications per physician orders and respond to dialysis treatments as directed.
• Lead staff meetings and communicate with Facility Administrator on staffing and patient care issues.
• Assist with interviewing potential direct patient care staff and focus on efficient use of medical supplies.
