Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a dialysis patient care team member to assist in safe and effective dialysis treatments under RN supervision. Responsibilities include patient welcome, vascular access evaluation, and documenting treatment data.

The role involves pre/post vital signs, adherence to infection control, and operating alarms while maintaining a clean, safe treatment environment. Requires a high school diploma and state licensure as applicable, with a pay rate of $17.00–$27.00 hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national licensure requirements.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire as to their wellbeing since their last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency, cannulation, and heparin administration as delegated.
• Obtain pre/post treatment vital signs and weight; evaluate vascular access pre-treatment.
• Initiate dialysis per orders including QB and QD.
• Monitor patient response to dialysis therapy and document findings.
• Record treatment data accurately in the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN or supervisor.
• Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surfaces and surrounding areas between treatments.
