Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in New Jersey seeks a dialysis technician to assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines under RN supervision. You will monitor patient status, record vital signs, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

The role includes preparing treatment areas, supporting infection control, and assisting with documentation and education for patients. Must have a high school diploma and CMS/state licensure as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state or national certification within the required timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• CPR certification and healthcare training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and assess wellbeing after treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and perform cannulation as delegated.
• Obtain pre/post-treatment vital signs and weight.
• Initiate dialysis per orders including QB and QD.
• Monitor patient response and document on treatment sheets.
• Disinfect dialysis machine surfaces and surrounding areas between treatments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
• Assist in training direct patient care staff under RN supervision.
• Record and review treatment data in the designated clinical application.
