Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in New Jersey seeks a patient care technician to support dialysis treatments under RN supervision. You will assist with setup, monitor patient condition, and ensure safe operation of HD machines, while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and CPR certification; prior patient care experience is preferred. Compensation is hourly, with a benefits package available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state/national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist other health care members in providing patient education related to dialysis adequacy measures.
• Welcome and assess patient wellbeing at each treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access and cannulation; administer heparin as delegated.
• Record vital signs, treatment parameters and post-treatment data accurately.
• Monitor and intervene for intradialytic problems; report changes to RN or supervisor.
• Prepare lab specimens and ensure proper documentation and safety procedures.
