Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Fairhaven, MA is seeking a patient-focused dialysis technician to join our care team under RN supervision. You will assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include pre/post treatment assessments, accurate documentation, and reporting changes to the nurse. The role supports CQI activities, infection control, and patient education on adequacy measures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CMS-approved state certification or compliance within CMS timelines.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor vital signs and patient response during dialysis.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and equipment.
• Document treatment data and enter into designated clinical applications.
• Report any changes to the registered nurse or supervisor.
• Assist in education on adequacy measures as appropriate.
• Support infection control and CQI activities.
