Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Port Huron, MI, seeks an experienced dialysis technician to support safe, effective therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will set up and operate hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, perform vascular access cannulation, and document treatment data to ensure patient safety.

You will also participate in CQI and infection control efforts, educate patients on adequacy measures, and help maintain a high standard of care throughout each treatment session.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required; CMS/state licensure timelines.
• Successful completion of dialysis training program and CPR certification.
• Experience in patient care in hospital or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines and monitor treatment.
• Perform vascular access cannulation and monitor patient status.
• Record treatment parameters and vital signs; report changes to RN.
• Contribute to CQI activities and infection control practices.
• Educate patients on adequacy measures and post-treatment care.
