Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS/state certification within required timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training as applicable.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines and ensure safety of patient during treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access patency, cannulation, and manage heparin administration as delegated.
• Record vital signs, weights, and treatment parameters accurately; document completion of Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Monitor patient response to dialysis and intervene as prescribed by physician order or supervisor.
• Maintain clean and safe environment and assist in infection control practices.
• Participate in CQI activities and transition care duties to support patient education and continuity of care.
