Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Texas is seeking a dedicated dialysis technician to support safe and effective dialysis treatment under RN supervision. You will assist with machine setup, patient monitoring, and education while ensuring a clean, safe environment and adherence to CQI activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CMS/state certification, and state licensure where applicable; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS/state certification requirements must be met.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required; CPR certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines as supervised.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs before, during, and after treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access and administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
• Ensure safety alarms and parameters are correctly configured on dialysis machines.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment area and proper infection control practices.
• Assist in patient education regarding dialysis adequacy measures and disease management.
• Record treatment data accurately and assist with CQI activities as needed.
