Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States is seeking a dialysis technician to join our clinical team under RN supervision. You will assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient status, perform pre/post treatment assessments, and help ensure safety and cleanliness in the facility.

Responsibilities include recording treatment data, managing vascular access evaluation, and supporting CQI activities with the nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS certification requirements within the required state.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training.
• Continued employment dependent on CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and check wellbeing since last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation.
• Obtain pre/post treatment vital signs and weight.
• Initiate dialysis per orders; manage QB/QD as prescribed.
• Monitor response to dialysis therapy and document changes.
• Record treatment data with initial identification and signatures.
• Maintain clean, disinfected dialysis areas between treatments.
• Assist in training direct patient care staff.
