Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Savannah, GA is seeking an experienced Dialysis Technician to join the health care team under direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will operate and monitor hemodialysis machines, maintain a clean environment, and participate in CQI activities to improve patient outcomes.

The role involves pre/post dialysis evaluations, accurate documentation, and coordination with RNs and physicians to ensure safe, effective treatments for each patient.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vascular access for patency, perform cannulation and administer heparin as delegated.
• Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders (QB/QD) and monitor patient response.
• Record vital signs, weight, and dialysis parameters; document accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean dialysis environment and ensure equipment safety checks are completed.
