Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis tech to join the team in providing safe and effective dialysis under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will prepare and operate dialysis machines, monitor patients, document treatments, and participate in CQI activities to enhance patient outcomes.

The role includes patient education on adequacy measures and diaphragms through the dialysis process, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and operating dialysis machines.
• Monitor patients during treatment and record vital signs.
• Administer heparin as delegated or as allowed by state law.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow infection control practices.
• Document treatment data accurately on Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet and other records.
• Report significant changes in patient condition to the RN or supervisor.
