Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Decatur, GA, seeks a Dialysis Technician to set up and operate hemodialysis machines under RN supervision. You will monitor patients during treatment, record vital signs and treatment parameters, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, CMS/state certification, and CPR training. Prior patient care experience is preferred, and travel between local facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• Continued employment dependent on completion of dialysis training and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist education on adequacy measures: OLC, AMP, UKM.
• Welcome patients and assess wellbeing after last treatment.
• Set up dialysis treatment, monitor QB and QD as prescribed.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment details.
• Monitor intradialytic problems and intervene as ordered.
• Perform pre/post-treatment assessments and documentation.
• Ensure safety alarms and equipment are properly used and maintained.
• Maintain infection control practices and clean dialysis surfaces.
• Assist in transitional care and patient education on home dialysis options.
