Job summary
The University of Virginia UVA Health is seeking a Dialysis Patient Care Technician to support clinicians in delivering patient care and maintaining smooth clinical operations. This role focuses on care of kidney disease and dialysis patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Minimum requirements include high school diploma, BLS certification, and state or national dialysis certification (CCHT/CHT/CCNT) or equivalent
Qualifications
- Education requirement: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Experience: Previous health care experience preferred.
- Licensure: Certified as a Dialysis Technician per NNCC/ BONENT/ NNCO or equivalent licensure.
- AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care and maintaining clinical operations.
- Support treatment and care of CKD patients undergoing dialysis in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Adhere to licensure/certification requirements and safety standards.
