Job summary

UVA Health in Virginia seeks a dedicated Dialysis Patient Care Technician to support clinicians in delivering high-quality patient care across dialysis units. You will assist with procedures, monitor patients, and ensure safety and compliance in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Required is a High School diploma with preferred healthcare experience, plus certification eligibility within 18 months and an AHA BLS credential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous health care experience preferred.
• Certification as a dialysis technician within 18 months of hire.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Certifications may include NNCC, BONENT, NNCO, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care.
• Support diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural activities for dialysis patients.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses and other staff in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Follow safety and quality standards while assisting with dialysis treatments.
