Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States seeks a dedicated dialysis technician to set up and operate hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, and ensure safe and effective treatment under supervision. You will document treatments, participate in CQI activities, and assist with education and infection control measures.

The role includes station-wide safety practices, patient education during sessions, and coordination with the care team to support quality outcomes and a positive patient

Qualifications

• Prior patient care experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required and CPR certification preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, evaluate wellbeing, and monitor vital signs during treatment.
• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines and adjust parameters as prescribed.
• Document treatment data accurately and report changes to the RN or supervisor.
• Assist with infection control, CQI activities, and patient education.
• Prepare charts, collect lab specimens, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Assist Transitional Care Unit tasks and coordinate with care teams.
