Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Wisconsin is seeking a dialysis patient care professional to join our clinic team. No dialysis-specific experience is required, and comprehensive on-the-job training is provided to help you learn the essentials of dialysis therapy under supervision.

You will assist with setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, maintain a safe environment, and support CQI activities while following policy and training.

Qualifications

• No dialysis-specific experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Education and training follow established organization policies and CQI processes.
• Must meet CMS/state certification requirements within required state timeline.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines under supervision.
• Assess patient condition and vital signs before, during, and after treatment.
• Monitor and document treatment parameters and patient responses.
• Maintain clean, safe dialysis environment and follow infection control policies.
• Assist with patient education on adequacy measures and care routines.
• Obtain lab specimens and help with routine charting and record keeping.
• Report significant changes to the nurse or supervisor.
