Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Pontiac, IL seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician to support licensed nurses in providing safe dialysis. You will help set up and operate dialysis machines, monitor patients, record vital signs, and ensure a clean, safe treatment environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, CPR certification, and prior patient care experience; training is provided. Hourly pay ranges from $13.00 to $22.00 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required for this role.
• Prior patient care experience in a hospital or related facility preferred.
• CMS-approved state licensure or relevant certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Obtain pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and monitor arterial/venous pressures.
• Record treatment data and complete dialysis treatment sheets accurately.
• Report any changes in patient condition to the nurse or supervisor.
