Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Hazleton is seeking a Dialysis Technician to join the dialysis health care team. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and document vital signs and treatment parameters.

You will support infection control, prepare labs and chart patient information, and participate in CQI activities to improve patient outcomes. A high school diploma and state/certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS/state licensure as applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hemodialysis machines.
• Assess and document patient vitals and treatment parameters.
• Evaluate vascular access and administer heparin as delegated.
• Maintain infection control practices and clean/disinfect equipment between treatments.
• Record treatment data and ensure proper charting.
• Participate in CQI activities to improve patient outcomes.
• Assist in transitional dialysis care and patient education.
