Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.

Responsibilities

• Assist in education of patient care staff under nurse supervision.
• Welcome patients and monitor wellbeing during treatments.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and cannulation and administer heparin as delegated.
• Record vital signs, weight and treatment parameters; document changes.
• Initiate and monitor dialysis treatment per orders (QB, QD) and respond to intradialytic issues.
• Ensure safety alarms are enabled and monitor patient responses; document interventions.
• Conduct machine safety checks, infection control, and environmental maintenance.
• Prepare labs, collect specimens, and ensure proper labeling and transport.
