Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Fresno, CA seeks a dialysis technician to join the health care team under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, and document treatments while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

The role includes pre/post treatment assessments, adherence to CQI processes, and education of patients on adequacy measures and disease processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS/state or national certification requirements required.
• State licensure, education and training as required.
• Previous patient care experience in hospital or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dialysis setup and operation under RN supervision.
• Monitor patient during dialysis and document vitals and treatment parameters.
• Evaluate patient status, report to nurse/supervisor, and intervene as prescribed.
• Perform pre/post dialysis assessments, chart weight and vital signs.
• Maintain infection control and environmental standards per policy.
• Assist with patient education and transitional care planning.
