Job summary

Jabil is seeking a diagnostic specialist to maintain and improve the Diagnostic department’s proficiencies and efficiency in Florence, KY. You will diagnose and repair circuit board assemblies, leverage test equipment, and interpret schematics and documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and geometry.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, clients, and the public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Ability to operate a Windows PC and related software.
• Advanced PC skills including knowledge of Jabil software packages.
• Ability to read and understand visuals and basic correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, rates, ratios, and graphs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair at component level on electronic circuit board assemblies.
• Use electronic test and measurement equipment proficiently.
• Interpret schematics, BOMs, EC documents, visuals, and testing procedures.
• Assist Test Engineering in data evaluation to improve diagnostic efficiency.
• Understand and follow Jabil production rules and procedures.
• Interface with customers and travel to sites for advanced diagnostics as needed.
• Support staffing decisions and assist in recruiting for the Diagnostic team.
• Train technicians on technical issues and provide guidance.
• Work on complex technical assignments requiring judgment and initiative.
• Document methods and provide guidance for new tasks.
• Contribute to team efforts to achieve Diagnostic yield goals.
• Prepare reports and recommend technical solutions.
• Adhere to safety, health, and security policies.
