Job description

Purpose:

Are you passionate about advancing healthcare through diagnostic technology? As a Diagnostic Technologist, you'll play a crucial role in patient care, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to provide accurate and timely diagnoses. Join our team where your expertise can make a real difference in improving patient outcomes and shaping the future of medical diagnostics.

**This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 with only a 2 year commitment!**

Responsibilities:

  • Performs diagnostic radiography procedures independently using established protocols and sound judgment in applying ionizing radiation.
  • Communicates clearly with patients, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
  • Ensures accurate documentation by coding exams in the RIS system, networking images to ISITE, and entering appropriate charges.
  • Operates complex imaging equipment for image acquisition, analysis, and documentation in accordance with protocol.
  • Adapts to various clinical areas and maintains workflow flexibility to meet departmental and enterprise-wide staffing needs.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members, physicians, and patients to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
  • Administers oral and rectal contrast as per physician orders and departmental policies.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and empathy, showing respect and care in all patient and coworker interactions.
  • Follows safety protocols, including proper patient identification and adherence to universal procedures during exams.
  • Supports learning and development, serving as a resource for new hires and students while continuously expanding personal skills.

Shifts:The position will work rotating days, holidays, weekends, and shifts. The expected schedule is Sunday-Saturday, with 8 hours shifts (7a-3p, 7:30a-3:30p, 8a-4p, 12p-8p, 2p-10p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a. Maybe be pulled to other days/shifts depending on hospital needs.
