Job summary

The Indian Health Service seeks an X-Ray Technologist (Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist) to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging and support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Duties include fixed and portable imaging, patient positioning, and radiation safety.

On-call and rotating shifts may apply. Applicants must meet Public Law 101-630 requirements and pass E-Verify; background investigation and financial suitability may be required; selective service registration for males.

Qualifications

• Education and Certification requirements: accredited radiologic program and current radiographer certification/registration.
• Experience and duties as radiologic personnel include operating fixed/portable radiographic equipment and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine to complex radiographic exams with fixed/portable equipment.
• Positions patients and selects/adjusts factors to obtain quality images.
• Ensures radiation safety and explains procedures to patients.
• Maintains radiology records and participates in QA activities.
• On-call hours or rotating shifts may be required.
