Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist to perform the full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. You will prepare and position patients, operate various imaging systems, and may rotate to other areas of the medical center including holiday rotations.

The role requires ARDMS credentials, BLS, and the ability to work with both inpatients and outpatients while maintaining equipment and professional conduct in all interactions with staff, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn and/or Vascular at hire and a second credential by end of 6-month probation
• Must perform both inpatient and outpatient exams, and all other ultrasound exams as needed
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school
• Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of basic diagnostic Ultrasound procedures
• Prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest
• Operate stationary and portable imaging systems
• May rotate to other areas of the medical center; holiday rotation
• Maintain equipment and log reported repairs
