Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-frequency Diagnostic Ultrasound procedures and support physicians with interventional exams. You will handle patient preparation, image acquisition, and data management, while maintaining equipment and participating in on-call rotations.

The role requires completion of an approved ultrasound program, strong communication skills, and proficiency with clinical software.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures according to departmental format, completing exam in allotted time.
• Performs required daily clerical duties, including EPIC, PACS, Teletracking, scheduling and other systems.
• Performs portable ultrasound exams.
• Assists physicians with Ultrasound guided Interventional procedures and color-flow ultrasound as required.
• Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures and positions them for each view.
• Evaluates image quality and processes data for patient records.
• Maintains equipment and supplies; cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Provides instruction to students, employees, and residents.
• Adheres to department policies and on-call requirements.
