Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and assist with routine invasive procedures. The role requires knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology and entails caring for patients across all age groups.

Qualified candidates will have an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and at least 1 year of related hospital experience, with BCLS and cardiac sonography certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program required.
• Minimum 1 year of related hospital inpatient or ambulatory cardiac sonography experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment and communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.
