Job summary

Riverside Medical Clinic, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a diagnostic sonographer to perform ultrasound exams, document findings, and support radiology services. The role involves patient prep, accurate imaging, and collaboration with radiologists.

The position requires ARRT certification, BLS, and a preference for 1 year of sonography experience. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, on-site at Riverside location; travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of diagnostic sonography experience preferred.
• Registry with ARRT and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Society preferred.
• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification required. Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in preparation for radiology procedures.
• Perform ultrasound exams using correct positioning, equipment and technical factors.
• Utilize PACS systems to store radiology images and ensure patient demographics match orders.
• Critique images and document in PACS and radiology orders for radiologist interpretation.
• Obtain patient history and document lab results.
• Assist Radiologist during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and monitor for malfunctions.
