Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in support of physicians’ evaluation and treatment. The role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

The Technologist will verify patient identity, follow imaging protocols, document procedures in the EHR, and ensure related documents are scanned into PACS for radiologist interpretation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of clinical ultrasound experience.
• 2–4 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT Sonography certification or registry eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures independently following department protocols.
• Verify patient identity and ensure procedures are ordered and acknowledged.
• Document imaging procedures and patient information in the EHR; ensure PACS uploads.
• Maintain safe, organized work environment and equipment.
• Assist radiologists with image review and interpretation as needed.
