The Diagnostic Transportation Department provides safe, efficient, and patient-centered transport services across The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The Training Specialist supports staff development, compliance, and operational readiness while providing hands-on support to daily operations as needed.
The Diagnostic Transportation Training Specialist supports onboarding, education, compliance, and operational readiness of front-line staff including Patient Transporters and Storekeeper I staff. This non-supervisory role partners with departmental leadership to ensure staff are trained, compliant, and aligned with departmental standards, while also providing dispatch and hands-on operational support during high-volume periods.
For Hire: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required. Two years of relevant experience is required.
Ongoing: Continued participation in required training, compliance education, and professional development as assigned.
