Job summary

The Imaging Center is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technologist for a PRN position at our Germantown, TN outpatient imaging center. The role involves performing high-quality diagnostic radiography, preparing and educating patients, and ensuring safety and accuracy in imaging.

Applicants must have 5+ years as a Radiologic Technologist, an Associate's degree in Radiology, ARRT Radiography certification, state licensure, and BLS within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Associate's degree in Radiology or graduate of a two-year radiology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and state licensure; BLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray procedures.

• Review physician orders and patient history.
• Follow radiation safety and ALARA standards.
• Evaluate images for quality and accuracy.
• Assist with fluoroscopic procedures as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray procedures.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist

EDUCATION:

• Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
