Job summary

UVA Imaging in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technologist for a full-time day position at our busy Orthopedic Outpatient Imaging Center. You will perform general diagnostic X‑ray and may operate the C‑arm during surgical or FL procedures, contributing to a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates have an Associate degree in Radiology, ARRT certification, and state licensure, with BLS due within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as Radiography Technologist preferred but not required.
• Associates Degree in Radiology or graduate of accredited two-year radiology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and current registration; state licensure required; BLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic X-ray imaging.
• Operate the C-arm during surgical or FL procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.

UVA Imaging is growing and seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technologist for full‑time day positions at our busy UVA Orthopedic Outpatient Imaging Center. We are looking for a technologist ready to grow and advance their skills in a fast‑paced environment. Along with general diagnostic X‑ray you may be operating the C‑arm during surgical or FL procedures.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiography Technologist preferred but not required. New graduates are always welcome.

Education

• Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two‑year radiology program.

License/Certification Requirements

• Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Skills/Abilities

• Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
