To perform a number of data collection functions as delegated by the physician to allow for proper professional diagnosis, treatment and care of patients condition(s).
Essential Functions
Acquaint all new and existing patients with office procedures to which they will be exposed.
Performs accurate and consistent documentation and measurement tasks for new and follow up with patients:
- Use of Autorefractor and Lensmeters (automatic and manual)
- Visual Fields
- Pachymetry
- Corneal Topography
- Potential Acuity Meter
- Keratometry Readings
- OCT (ON, Macula and RGC)
- A-scans, B-scans, IOL measurements
- Fundus photography
- External photography
- Fluorescein angiography
- Retinal scans
Maintains and cleans all equipment being used.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Attends required meetings.
Availability to travel to various offices when necessary.
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
One year experience or training in this or similar position.
Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms and ocular meds.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Enthusiastic team player.
Outstanding patient service skills.
Knowledge of medical and ophthalmic terminology.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Team-oriented
Well-organized with attention to detail.
Demonstrates computer literacy.

Basic testing: Visual Field (VF), Optical Coherent Test (OCT), Pachymetry plus A-scan Biometry, Intraocular Lens Calculations/B-scans - Sonograms Corneal Topography or assistant and work up, Fluorescein Angiogram / fundus photography or Basic testing and scribing and work up.
Preferred Skills
Bilingual is a plus.

The compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets.
