Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Diagnostic Technician in Saint Petersburg, FL to diagnose and repair electronics at the component level and support manufacturing quality. You will operate test equipment, read schematics, and help root cause analysis to improve yields and reduce defects.

The role requires at least six months in manufacturing, an associate degree in electronics or related field, and U.S. citizenship for site eligibility. Strong documentation, teamwork, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
  • Programming language experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of six months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the component level required.
  • Experience using electronic diagnostic and test equipment preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required to work at this specific site.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair opens, shorts, and boundary scan failures to the component level on electronic circuit board assemblies.
  • Operate electronic test and measurement equipment to verify product functionality and identify defects.
  • Interpret and utilize assembly documentation, including schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), visual aids, debug documentation, testing tools, and procedures.
  • Assist the Test Engineering team with data evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing diagnostic efficiency.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to product defects and test failures.
  • Follow established production requirements, policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental process yield and productivity goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to diagnostic activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, quality, and security requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
