Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our radiology team. You will perform ultrasound examinations in collaboration with Radiologists, deliver high-quality images and accurate documentation to support patient diagnosis and treatment, and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

This role requires ARDMS certification, knowledge of routine ultrasound procedures, clinical judgment, and the ability to supervise student sonographers while maintaining

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program (ARDMS standards) required.
• Knowledge of routine ultrasound procedures and competency demonstrated.
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Credentialing International required.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certificate.
• Maintains ARDMS physics registry.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonographic exams in collaboration with Radiologist.
• Maintains professional demeanor aligned with quality care.
• Delivers appropriate patient care and ensures procedure completion.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations for each modality.
• Assists in supervision and training of student sonographers.
• Operates equipment and documents patient history accurately.
