Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center Muncy seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, prep patients, and ensure patient safety per ALARA. Work may include operating room, ICU, and other settings as needed.

Requires Graduate from Specialty Training in Radiologic Technology, BLS certification, and ARRT radiography certification. This full-time role offers a $30,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology.
• BLS certification and ARRT radiography certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, patient identification, and proper exam preparation with confidentiality.
• Applies imaging protocols while maximizing patient safety and ALARA principles.
• Administers medications via vascular access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates image quality and verifies data archival/transfer post-processing.
• Educates and mentors students and other healthcare providers.
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Performs diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy in OR, ICU, Endoscopy, and other areas.
• Supports department objectives and participates in quality or process improvements.
