Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist for diagnostic radiology on a contingent/PRN basis in Detroit. You will perform radiographic exams under a Radiologist, determine techniques, ensure safety, and maintain patient records.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, image capture with proper positioning, and adherence to ALARA and infection control standards. Relevant ARRT certification and ongoing education are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must maintain required hours of continuing education.
• ARRT registration or eligibility; obtain within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedure to patients and prepare for the exam.
• Review clinical data on requisition and obtain patient history as needed.
• Prepare procedure room and replenish stock.
• Operate radiologic equipment and ensure proper positioning and technique.
• Apply ALARA principles to reduce patient dose.
• Prepare sterile equipment and ensure infection control practices.
