Job summary

Geisinger is offering a Radiologic Technologist position at the Geisinger Medical Center in the Northeast Region. This full-time day shift position includes a $25,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants and a $6/hour premium on top of the base pay rate.

Job Summary

Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) is offering a Radiologic Technologist position with a $25,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible applicants and a $6/hour premium on top of the base pay rate. This day shift position requires 40 scheduled weekly hours.

Location & Hours

Location: Geisinger Medical Center, Northeast Region. Shift: Days. Regular full‑time.

Job Duties

• Ensure correct order, proper patient identification, preparation, and accurate clinical documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
• Apply appropriate imaging protocol, optimize technical factors, and maximize patient safety while adhering to ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer medications where applicable through vascular access sites as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluate radiographic images for positioning and quality; verify archival storage and/or data transfer, and post‑process data as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Assist the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures, including those performed outside of the Radiology Department (e.g., operating room, endoscopy, ICU).
• Maintain compliance with all organization policies, procedures, and legal regulations related to radiation safety and medication handling.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience (preferred).
• Must obtain ARRT‑R registry within 6 months of hire; if hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.

Certifications & Licensure

• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
