Summary of Job Duties: The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist produces radiographic images for medical interpretation as needed. When radiology tasks are not required, this position works under the direct supervision of the clinic nurse, physician or licensed provider by assisting in the examination and treatment of patients.

Qualifications:

  • Associates - Graduate of an approved Radiology program
  • Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of Radiological Imaging experience
  • BLS Certification
  • Pediatric Experience a plus
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities:

  • Produce radiographs for medical interpretation.
  • Enter information into the Radiology Information System.
  • Process Images in Computed Radiography System.
  • Review Images in PACS System.
  • Collect patient data, perform vital signs, and document information into the patient's Electronic Medical Record.
  • Perform specimen collection, including phlebotomy, and prepare laboratory specimens for and/or perform laboratory analysis.
  • Perform electrocardiograms and transmit recordings for analysis.
  • Setting up for and assisting the physician or licensed provider with procedures and examinations.
  • Collect patient data, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, as well as obtain EKGs.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for the examination of patients and perform administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
