Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by the ARRT is required.
• Registration with the ARRT is required.
• State licensure as applicable (NDMIRT for ND; SD license; IA permit).
• If SD, ARRT certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Iowa requires a permit to practice for some clinics.
• A CNA certification may be required within eight weeks at some locations.
• BLS certification within six weeks of employment and recertification as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately during radiographic procedures and follow provider requests.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and protection practices.
• Deliver excellent patient care and education before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Navigate the EMR system effectively.
• May be required to work on-call nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including mobile imaging and EKG as needed.
• May perform DEXA procedures.
