Job Summary

Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating equipment, and maintaining related records.

Job Duties
  1. Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
  2. Operates all equipment within the modality proficiently.
  3. Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  4. Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform examinations accurately.
  5. Assists physicians with various procedures.
  6. Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  7. Maintains related records and notations.
  8. Participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  9. Participates in the educational training of students.
