Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operate imaging equipment, and maintain related records in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, protection, assisting physicians, and contributing to QA/QC procedures. The role also involves training students and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of proper patient positioning and exposure techniques.
• Ability to operate radiology and fluoroscopy equipment safely and effectively.
• Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures is a plus.
• Maintain accurate records and notations related to examinations.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper patient positioning and exposure techniques.

• Sets up immobilization and radiation protection devices.
• Reviews patient size and condition to determine appropriate examinations.

Job Summary

Sign on bonus for eligible applicants!!! Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
