Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an X-ray Tech I to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operate imaging equipment, and maintain related records in a clinical setting. The role may be eligible for higher levels based on skills and experience.

A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants. Candidates must graduate from a Radiologic Technology program and hold ARRT certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-certified radiologic technologist and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Experience with quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic exams.
• Operate all modality equipment.
• Set up immobilization and radiation protection.
• Assess patient size, age, and condition for examinations.
• Assist physicians in procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain records and notations.
• Support QA/QC procedures as needed.
• Participate in student training.

Job Summary

$20,000 Sign on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Tech I and we are seeking candidates for that position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role to include X-ray Tech II based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply. Union: Yes Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
