Job Description

This position supports the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The individual will represent International SOS and provide imaging services as outlined below:

  • Operate a variety of imaging equipment for exams and procedures in diverse patient care settings.
  • Perform diagnostic exams, portable radiography, fluoroscopy, CT exams, Angio procedures, and other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee safe operation of the CT and/or Angio environment.
  • Prepare contrast materials under radiologist supervision for various exams.
  • Monitor patient's conditions and intervene as needed.
  • Record radiation doses for fluoroscopy exams.
  • Interpret radiology requests and input data into computer systems.
  • Ensure high-quality radiographic exams while minimizing patient dose.
  • Coordinate examinations requiring radiologist guidance, optimizing room utilization.
  • Apply infection control practices and maintain electronic records.
  • Check equipment functionality.
  • Perform CT imaging, interventional radiography, biopsies, and angiography, including cardiac imaging if trained.
  • Maintain competence in venipuncture and follow contrast guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred prior VA or military experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with advanced DRT/CT applications.
Education
  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged sitting and standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Other Qualifications
  • US Citizen.
  • Willing to relocate to the project site.
  • Pass or possess VA Public Trust Clearance.
