Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. in Peabody, MA is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging exams and support safe, high-quality diagnostic services.

You will work under the Manager to ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging per department protocols. Responsibilities include patient identification, explaining exams, positioning, operating radiographic equipment, and maintaining ALARA principles.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in Radiography is required.
• An Associate’s degree in Radiography is preferred.
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license is required, where applicable.
• ARRT certification (RT) is required within 90 days of hire; ARRT registration preferred at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient and exam through ID, interview, history, and records.
• Explain exams and safety procedures to patients, considering language needs.
• Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Perform imaging exams per department protocols and Radiologist requests.
• Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, and other imaging equipment as needed.
• Ensure exams are labeled and available in PACS, with images accessible.
• Maintain ALARA principles and patient shielding as appropriate.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies and infection control needs.
• Provide compassionate patient care while staying composed in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and care team to support patient flow and outcomes.
• Maintain equipment readiness and supply availability per department standards.

Education

Certificate or diploma in Radiography

Associate’s degree in Radiography

Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required

Registered Technologist (ARRT RT) within 90 days of hire
