Job summary

Geisinger in Berwick, PA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, prepare and administer medications as prescribed, and document radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws and institutional policy. The position requires ARRT-R registry within six months of hire, with a preferred 1 year related experience and related education.

This is a full-time on-site role with comprehensive benefits and a strong emphasis on ALARA and patient

Qualifications

• We require ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience (preferred).
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Related Field (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
• Utilizes imaging protocols and ALARA principles to maximize patient safety and care.
• Preparing and/or administering medications through vascular access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for proper positioning and quality; manages data transfer and post-processing as applicable.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Performs radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed, including outside Radiology Department settings.
