Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a general diagnostic radiologist with subspecialty expertise in body imaging, cardiothoracic imaging, PET/CT and nuclear medicine, or neuroradiology. This onsite Gainesville, Florida position allows limited telework days per pay period.

VA offers comprehensive benefits and a strong focus on professional development. Applicants must hold an MD/DO, be board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology, and possess an unrestricted US license.

Qualifications

United States Citizenship or eligibility for appointment under VA rules.
Current full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory.
Completion of residency in radiology approved by ACGME/AOA or equivalent.
Fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging, neuroradiology, or nuclear medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform general diagnostic radiology services including radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI.
Interpret PET/CT and nuclear medicine examinations.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and educational activities.
Teach and supervise residents and fellows; provide radiology consultations.
