Job summary

C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Cape Coral, Florida, is seeking a Physician in Radiology/Diagnostic to contribute to quality care and to the VA academic hospital program. The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a growing center.

Ideal candidates will be board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology with a current U.S. medical license. Preference for Mammography and Body MRI experience, with teaching responsibilities for USF residents.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible for appointment under VA policy
  • MD or DO from a school approved by VA for the year of graduation
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
  • Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology
  • English language proficiency in speaking and writing per VA requirements

Responsibilities

  • Interpret Routine CT, MRI, and Ultrasound exams.
  • Read reports and document results for physician review.
  • Perform fluoroscopic exams or CT-guided procedures as required.
  • Involved in teaching USF residents with academic appointments
  • Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
