Job description

Work Schedule:


100% FTE, day shift. Tuesday - Friday 7:15AM - 3:45PM, Saturday 7:30AM - 3:30PM. Weekends required as scheduled. Holiday and standby call rotations required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.



Pay: UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience relevant to the position will be considered when determining the starting pay. This position is based at University Hospital in Madison, WI. A $15,000 sign-on bonus may be available.

We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist - X-ray to:



  • Perform a variety of imaging exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric patients using radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.

  • Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems.

  • Make quick, highly technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.

  • Serve as a clinical instructor for imaging training programs and participate in the instruction of other technologists and visiting healthcare professionals. May also participate in clinical research.



Qualifications


  • Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology (Required)

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Preferred)


Work Experience


  • Previous healthcare experience (Required)

  • 2 years of clinical experience (Preferred)


Licenses & Certifications


  • ARRT Radiography (R) certification (Required upon hire)

  • Wisconsin Radiological License (Required upon hire)

  • CPR certification within 3 months of hire (Required)

  • If Bone Mineral Densitometry is part of the role, certification within 30 months (Required)
